Kingsgate manages the Chatree asset ethically, so the people of Thailand, and the company, prosper together, enjoying safe, fair and rewarding work relationships and a healthy living environment.  Most satisfying as an employer of over 1000 people, of which 99% are Thai, is the continued outstanding safety record with no Lost Time Injuries for over six years (12 million hours worked). Kingsgate has accreditation for international ISO standards including safety, quality and the environment and remains the only stand-alone mining company with SA8000 Social Accountability accreditation. Kingsgate’s investment in training and education continues, with over 20 successful, Kingsgate-sponsored Thai employees graduated with Masters degrees in recent years. Our community concerns extend beyond philanthropy to genuine community aide in local education and infrastructure. Our supply chain policy is to buy local and to help expand the capacities of local contractors wherever we can.
